Q: Is the YourSchoolWeb Reports Module compatible with our existing Management Information System for instance SIMS?
A: Yes, YourSchoolWeb works alongside existing MIS systems, using your existing pupil database, staff database and timetable information.
Q: Do teachers have to add their students and class lists in manually?
A: No, YourSchoolWeb will import pupil details, staff details and groups lists from your school's Management Information System (for instance SIMS).
Q: Can we create pupil reports specific to our school?
A: Yes, YourSchoolWeb is highly customisable and template driven and can be customised to suit the needs of any school. You can customise the report format for any given year group and any given subject.
Q: Does YourSchoolWeb include any targets?
A: Yes, YourSchoolWeb comes complete with a number of default Target and Phrase banks to aid report completion. These can be customised by individual departments and users to create banks specific to the needs of your school.
Q: Can teachers tell which reports they have completed?
A: Yes, YourSchoolWeb includes automatic completion analysis that lets teachers and managers know how many reports have been completed in each group, with further breakdown by department and member of staff.
Q: Can staff enter free-text comments?
A: Yes, although YourSchoolWeb is a grade-based system, it also includes the ability for teaching staff to write free-text comments for each report, if required, and also includes the facility for form tutors and heads of year to write a general comment at the end of the year.
Q: How do you guarantee secure access?
A: YourSchoolWeb runs on a stable and secure Linux platform based around Red Hat Enterprise Level 4 technology. All communications between home and school are secured by Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology - the same technology used to encrypt confidential banking data. In addition, a further level of security requires all staff to be issued with a Client Certificate.
